Mont-Saint-Aubert

The highest point of the region, with an altitude of 147 m, is situated at 5 km from Tournai. The top offers a breath-taking view of the entire Scheldt valley and the City of 5 bell towers. Mont-Saint-Aubert is also called Mont de la Trinité for the pilgrimage of the same name, which has been known to take place since the 14th century. This peaceful place, close to the city, is very popular with hikers and families. It is the starting point of numerous hiking trails as well as a place to relax, featuring a playground and several restaurants and bistros, that are especially lively in summer.
